Perhaps the World Ends Here by Joy Harjo

This poem was about anything and everything that happens at the kitchen table. From eating to gossiping, all that goes on happens when a group of people are enjoying themselves, after a long days work. In a way, its like the author is saying that this table has gone through so many different moments and will continue to do so in the future. "This table has been a house in the rain and an umbrella in the sun." The speaker is trying to say that no matter what the situation is, the table will always be used in many ways.
